Birthday weekend wandering

When Karl asked me what I want for my birthday, I was certain that I wanted to spend the weekend by the lake with the family.

We left our town with the faint sun peeking from the scattered gray clouds. I guess winter hasn't decide to stay or go, I can only hope to have a sunny weekend so that the family can enjoy an alfresco dinner by the lake, but the winter storm came that night and confined us inside, we took advantage of the time to play cards and catch up with the family. The next morning, we hiked, and ventured the quiet dark lake we also collected heaps of wild flowers that made us sneeze. we were cold and dirty...but we were super happy.
